Lorrie Sarafin: Appearances

While some fierce weather (tornado or possibly a microburst) wove its way through Stagecoach Village early Sunday AM (around 1 AM or so) - taking down some artists booths - the show went on - and the day - while cloudy and rainy in the AM - brightened up considerably as the day wore on.  A TV crew dispatched to interview those whose booths were damaged stopped by to film my fingers while I played a song - I had no clue this was happening as I generally play my flutes with my eyes closed - and I happened to open them to see this TV guy with a camera focused on my hands! So Surreal! My thanks to all those who stopped by my booth to chat - and my heartfelt appreciation to those who purchased my music!

While the day started out pretty cloudy - the afternoon finally saw the sun come out to play.  Had such a wonderful time playing and talking to the people who stopped by my booth - my thanks to all who purchased my CD - thank-you  SO MUCH for all your support!

Some clouds and coldness - but it did not dampen our spirits and many people came to visit at Beth Zink's studio. I had a wonderful time talking to everyone who stopped by - thanks so much for all the support!

Another great day - really loved the sunny weather and all the people stopping by to talk. I just love the desert setting of Beth's studio - her Cave Creek home is warm and inviting - and the energy here is always positive and vibrant - much like her artwork.

Another sunny and warm Arizona day - really enjoyed the weather and was totally inspired by all the beautiful artwork at Beth Zink's studio. This year she has put her designs on coasters, pillows and even one of a kind purses!!

Just a beautiful sunny and warm day - great to meet up with Beth, Marlan, Phil and Michelle and Kevin. I look forward to playing this venue all year long as the energy at Beth Zink's studio is so uplifting!

Such a beautiful day for the last day of this Art Tour and Sale. I really enjoyed myself and had such fun playing today and this year. My thanks to Beth Zink - who opens up her home yearly to help out artists. It is always such a positive space to play in and I am already looking forward to next year!

Despite an amplifier meltdown (LOL) the show went on! My thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted - and to all the wonderful artists exhibiting their work at Beth Zink's studio - thank-you for providing the inspiration! Thanks also to Chuck and Bina - nice to see you there!

The day started out a little blustery - but then managed to calm down for the majority of the market. My thanks to those who stopped by to chat and for their support. One neat note: a roadrunner visited the area as we were packing up - so cool to see those birds!

Lovely day at the Borgata - the huge Christmas tree in the Central Courtyard really makes you feel the spirit of the season...My thanks to all the supporters who stopped by and bought the SECOND WIND CD.

A picture perfect day at Beth Zink's Cave Creek Studio - the weather was gorgeous - the art was stunning - and my thanks to Beth Zink, Lauren Knode, Phil Feaster and Marlan Masteller for their continued support of my artistry. My deep appreciation to all who stopped by to chat - and to those who bought my CD a big THANK-YOU! Your support allows me to continue my musical journey.

One note about the day: As I was playing my flutes mid afternoon - a couple of hawks were seen wheeling in the skies above - it was magical!

What a wonderful day! Temps were in the 80's and many people stopped by to talk - thanks to everyone for their support!

It was so nice to see all the vendors again after a year hiatus from this event. Unfortunately conflicts with other things will prevent me from attending the Lakeside markets this year - but I wanted to warmly thank Monique and Marty for all their support and their kindness! Thanks also to Deb - the emu oil lady for her gift of the wonderful soap to me! it's just what I needed to help my dry skin! If there's one thing I have learned over my lifetime is that you don't ever look a gift horse in the mouth - so thank-you M&M Events for all your support of my artistry - it is much appreciated!
My thanks also to those who bought the Second Wind CD - your support makes it possible for me to create more beauty in the world.

I am hoping to start the tour up again when cooler weather prevails.

Playing in Old Town this past Fall was wonderful! I met so many people who were appreciative of the music - and the nearby vendors were always so encouraging and positive!

This was the second year I played at Beth Zink's Cave Creek Studio as part of the Hidden in the Hills Tour - and once again I had a wonderful time talking to all those who stopped by to enjoy the creativity of Beth, Lauren, Phil and Marlan. The beauty of Zion National Park really made this festival for me - not to mention all the lovely gifts I received from Jim (Cedar Song Flutes), Joseph L. Young (I LOVE your music!!) and Michael DeMaria (more wonderful soothing music!!). I got to meet some people even though I was chained to my booth - thanks Stephen deRuby for your wet shirt idea (!) and of course it was wonderful to meet up with old friends Gary Stroutsos and Peter Phippen. Thanks to Lee Wach and Julie Hancock for all your wonderful help - and my thanks to all those who supported my music during this 3 day native flute fest!

After the festival I started a week long road trip though Bryce Canyon, CanyonLands, Arches National Park, Hovenweep and Mesa Verde. The views were just spectacular and at Arches I met an ethnomusicologist from China and her friend from Germany - they both heard me playing Jim's gift of an E flute and so what could I do but gift these people my CD since they were so fond of the music...Jim - your flute is so beautiful and I serenaded some ravens at Arches - and I think they were pleased.

This was memorable for the fact the jazz musicians who were supposed to play left after the fitst hint of rain and I was asked to fill in for the performance! I was told later that Borgata management were impressed! Thanks to Monique and all for the opportunity!

Once more had a blast at this market! My smudge wands of sage, cedar, sweetgrass and lavender sold well - even though some people thought the musician might have been smoking something that wasn't legal!
